“Two revolutions and Tibetan resilience”                                                                                                             -Som                               (Culture revolution and Tibetan peace revolution 2008) My grandmother's untold story of the Cultural Revolution in Tibet was shocking, extreme, and unbearable. She narrated her tragic story with tears in her eyes and a pale facial expression. She had experienced a real hell on earth and never saw any ray of hope in her future life at that time. “The tattoo sink on my right elbow, Dalai Lama"

I was born in Tibet
And brought up in India
I did my nursery school in China
And university in India
At this contrast from my educational journey
The tattoo sinks on my right elbow
Is the symbol of my country and the great leader

Nevertheless
My tongue speaks four languages
Half in Hindi, little less in Chinese
And equally in Tibetan and English
But the tattoo sinks on my right elbow
Is the symbol of my language and identity

My face shows the similarities of those Nepali
And eyes read deep into Han Chinese
My skin fits any Asian countries
But blood proves me a pure Tibetan
The tattoo sinks on my right elbow
Is the symbol of where I came from and who I am

I was born as an engineer by profession
And writing is my biggest passion
I find deep into the wild revolutionary-minded
And to resist any renovation is my simplicity
The tattoo sinks on my right elbow
Is the symbol of my hope and philosophy
